Early Childhood
The Lombard Park District’s Early Childhood program provides an environment for children infant-6 years of age, where one can learn through play, craft, song time, story time, and hands-on activities. There are a variety of different types of Early Childhood classes such as parent/tot, music, art, imagination, drop-off, and more. To learn more about each program, view our Activity Guide or click here to register.
Requirements
Children must meet the class age requirement by the first class. Children must be able to use the toilet independently if attending a program alone. If a toileting accident occurs, parents will be called to change the child. Children may attend class in a pull-up, but parents must stay in the building to change the child if necessary.
Childcare Services
Childcare service for ages 8 weeks to 5 years is offered during morning parent/tot and fitness classes at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Childcare is designed for siblings who may not be the appropriate age to attend the Parent/Tot program, or so parents can drop off children while attending a session. You may register for a per session fee or pay a $3 per hour drop-in fee. Parents must remain in Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Childcare is not available during summer.
