Join the Lombard Park District for old-fashioned hospitality and a stunning
8.5 acre horticultural display with 1,200 breathtaking lilacs & 25,000
eye-catching tulips! As an added bonus, enjoy the many free concerts and
attractions that will be provided in Lilacia Park during Lilac Time!
Set on the former estate of Colonel William R. Plum, Lilacia Park boasts
200 varieties of lilacs and 50 varieties of tulips along with perennials,
annuals, a picnic area and more. The people of Lombard are forever indebted
to Colonel Plum who bequeathed his lilac collection to the village in
1927, thus ensuring Lombard's lilac heritage.
Schedule of Events
When registration is required, you may register online
or in person at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road. All events held in Lilacia Park, 150 S. Park Avenue, unless otherwise
noted. Park tours meet at Booth #2 and concerts/performances are held
on the Lilacia Park Main Stage. In the event of rain, events may be moved
to the Lombard Community Building, 433 E. St. Charles Road.
Little Lady Lilac Ball

Dads and daughters will dance, play games and enjoy a sweet table! Plus
enjoy a visit from the Lilac Princesses! For your convenience order

Lilac Heritage Tour
Join the Lombard Park District and the Lombard Historical Society for
a fascinating lesson in the history of Colonel Plum and Lilacia Park.
Groups meet at the Victorian Cottage. For more information, call (630)
629-1885. May 2, 3, 9, 10 and 16 at 2 p.m., and May 3 8 and 11
15 at 11 a.m. The fee is $2/person.
Lilac Time Sketching Tour
Ages 8 and up
Participants can join us at Lilacia Park to complete a drawing in oil
pastels. Basic color theory and depth perception will be emphasized. Registration
required.

Spend the morning in Lilacia Park and enjoy a pancake breakfast prepared
for you by the Board of Park Commissioners! Proceeds will benefit the

From the West: Take I-88 or I-80 to I-355 North. Exit Roosevelt Road and go east (right). Turn north (left) on Main Street. Turn west (left) on Maple Street. Lilacia Park is one block up on the right.
From the North: Take I-294 South to Route 64/North
