You have all the essentials: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Recreation, Park or Leisure Service Administration or even something similar. You know how to use Microsoft Office. You have a driver’s license and are CPR, First Aid, and hopefully even CPRP certified.

Marketing and Communications Intern
Qualifications: Must be a current student of an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications or related field. Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation. Must have some experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Duties: The Lombard Park District is offering an internship to students working towards a degree within the field of Marketing and Communications. The Intern will have the opportunity to plan, design, produce, distribute, and evaluate consistent, effective and creative marketing collateral including but not limited to brochures, press releases, e-newsletters, social media, and photography. The Intern will work with multiple departments within the district. This position reports directly to the Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

Recreation Programming Intern
Qualifications: Must be a current student of an accredited university pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or related field. Must posses a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation. The student must have the desire and ability to commit to the Lombard Park District in the summer.
Duties: The Lombard Park District is offering an internship to motivated students working towards a degree within the field of parks and recreation. This individual will report directly to the Deputy Director and be exposed to a multi-faceted experience including administration, programming, staff management, facility management, aquatics, camps, preschool, special events, marketing and maintenance. Internship schedule will include night, weekend and holiday hours.

Lifeguard
The Paradise Bay Water Park Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of the facility. Must be at least 16 years old. Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred, but not required. Certification training will be provided and passage is required. Work under the direction and supervision of the Lifeguard-in-Charge, the Pool Manager, and the Aquatic/Facilities Manager.
Hours: Vary daily 6am- close

Guest Service
The Paradise Bay Water Park Guest Service is responsible for keeping the facility clean, including pool deck and locker rooms. Must be at least 16 years old. Work under the supervision of the Pool Manager and the Aquatic/Facility Manager.

Swim Instructor
The Swim Instructor must have experience working with children; in an aquatic environment is preferred, but not necessary. Must be at least 16 year old. Must be willing to work with children ages 1-15 years. CPR/First Aid training preferred or ability to obtain certification provided by the District. Must be available Monday-Friday mornings and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings from June to August. Work under the supervision and direction from the Swim Lessons Manager.

Swim Coach
Paradise Bay Water Park is looking for a Head Swim Coach to join our staff this summer. The Head Swim Coach is responsible for offering an atmosphere of learning, fun and competition for youth swimmers. Previous swim team experience and coaching experience is required. Work with children ages 6-18 years. Work under the direction and supervision of the Aquatic/Facilities manager.
Hours: Monday-Friday morning practices 6am-9am; Wednesday 5pm-10pm; Saturday 7am-1pm Swim Meets
Wage: Negotiable
