TLC Camp Comes to Town!

I am currently assigned as a 31B Military Policeman and a Squad Leader. I have 14 years prior military service,including deployment for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm 1990/1991, and have recently reenlisted into the Army National Guard after a 16 year break in service. My unit is currently set to mobilize for Federal Active Duty, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the global fight on terrorism, on or about 28 August 08 and scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan as part of the 33rd IBCT Joint Task Force Phoenix VIII, sometime there after. The role of this Military Police Company is to provide force protection within the combat theater of operations. My oldest son Steven is currently in basic combat training, and upon graduation he will join his unit, 1/178th Infantry, which is also scheduled for deployment with the 33rd IBCT. Father and son may be serving in the same theater of battle, a unique experience.

I have been with the Lombard Park District since April, 1984. I have worked the whole time at Western Acres Golf Course, and assigned as Assistant Superintendent of Golf Course Operations. I have five children, Christy-27, Elizabeth-24, Steve-19, Jenny-16, and Vinnie-2. I am happily married to my lovely wife Rosetta.

I am very proud to say that the Lombard Park District has always supported the military whenever duty called for me. Once again, duty has called for an extended overseas deployment, and the District is in full support. Thank you Lombard Park District.
